Round Two! Fight!

Round One of The Purple Wall Tournament is over. My story, “Pet,” moved onto Round Two. My opponent is the author of an action story title “Oracle Train.” You should check it out and support whomever you feel has the best story.

The site allows you to vote once a day, every day, so keep returning and voting to help your favorite story to move forward.

I haven’t been posting much recently due to a lot of non-writing related project eating up much of my time. We recently installed ductless AC/Heat Pumps in the house, are working on converting from oil to gas heat, built a raised bed garden on the side of the house, planted clover through the yard, dug up an infestation of mushrooms in the yard, and I am trying to remove a vast patch of invasive weed name Garlic Mustard. Oh! I’ve also begun researching the possibly of refinancing my house to get a lower rate during these strange times. I’ve been busy.

Writing wise, I mentioned last time, I am reading through my rough draft of my YA Fantasy novel. Trying to read one’s own work as a normal, casual reader is difficult. I keep trying to just take notes and identify where the problems are. It’s amusing! Ignore my tears of despair.

In between that, I am still pitching my horror novel to agents and one small publisher. I am submitting and resubmitting short stories. Finally, I am trying to finish a lot of house projects. Bear with me in my moments of silence.

Go to Purple Wall Stories and support a fine website and some fine authors.
